Our Valentine's Date...

I told Jeff a month ago to not make any fishing plans on February 14th because it's our Valentine's date, minus hunting or fishing. So he told me he would take me to the movie, "Valentine's Day". I was so excited, this movie looks great. It has all the famous actors/actresses, plus the 2 Dr. McDreamies from Grays anatomy. I felt let down when one McDreamie was gay and the other was a two timing cheater.
It was fun anyways, a great movie to watch. We then went and waited in line at the Olive Garden for dinner, it was so worth it. This resturant has the yummiest food, we need to go there more often.

I hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day as I did.

Here it is almost Valentine's Day and my last post was for Christmas. I fall behind on blogging so bad because 1. I'm not doing anything besides studying and 2. Homework, School and Work have taken over my life. I am taking 3 classes this semester besides working full time, so it gets a little busy. I have been trying to get to the gym every week too, so there ya go this has been my life.
Jeff on the other hand has been on the go non stop ice fishing every weekend, he has gone to every frozen lake around here. So this is what he does while I do homework, not fair! Just kidding, it's ok it keeps him busy so I can get things done. I will try harder to keep up on the blogging life.

I'm so Thankful for my family and the wonderful husband that I have, to be a part of his family.
How much fun we all have together, all the good and the bad times we share.
I'm thankful for all the new babies coming into our families, the joy they bring to us.

Jeff's Lake Trout...

Jeff went to Bear Lake this morning, he's been dying to catch the big lake trouts there. He heard that now is the time. Boy, was he right. He wanted me to go, but I just can't handle 20 degree weather in a boat on the lake at 5am. So he took some Buddie's from work to go with him. It's a 10 lb fish that was 30 inches long. He's so proud of this BIG fish.

Well, it's Thursday night and I have about 10 minutes before my favorite show comes on, "Grays Anatomy". Jeff is in Bend Oregon getting a job set up for his work. I kinda wish I could have gone with him, it's so pretty there especially this time of year. He has been gone a lot lately, being it's hunting season, then with his work. This is my life, the only good thing of being home alone is it makes it easy to get my homework done. I just don't feel like reading my Psychology book lately, so I'm 2 chapters behind in reading. I know, eventually I will need to do it.
There's nothing much exciting going on in our lives, just the same ole stuff. So, it's Grays Anatomy time, time to go.

Delta Derby

Jeremiah and a few of his friends have been putting together a derby truck for the Delta Derby. Jeff's dad gave him his old 1977 orange Dodge farm truck about a year ago and they decided to get it derby ready. So for the last month I would say they have been restoring it, tearing it apart, cutting and welding on it. One of the friends repainted it the flashy orange color and Ashlie painted the named sponsors. It was a great team effort by about 5 guys, Skyer was the driver he also helped derby up the truck. Jeremiah with all his skill and great ideas of taking off the hood and putting it in front so they could ram the other trucks without hurting their own. Kade and Blackner Trucking donated the diesel to haul it, along with their service truck just in case it needed serviced. CJ Transport who donated money to make it all happen, Kelton with his auto body experience repainted the whole truck orange along with the wheels. Ashlie added the final touch :).

Skyler started out good and strong, I think some of the other drivers noticed and teamed up on him, 2 of them hitting him at the same time. The old dodge wouldn't start after that, the guys had a short lived derby, but I know they all had fun.

It was a fun night after all, a lot of noise, roll overs and many blown tires which made it a very entertaining night.

Ashlie's Baby Shower....

My mom and I planned Ashlie's baby shower for this last weekend. I mailed out alot of invitations, but not even half the people came. We did have a few family members support us, i know that Summer's are so busy and we can't always go to everything. Thanks to the people who could support us. It was a fun day, we had lunch, quilted on a cute little girl baby quilt and watched Ashlie open her gifts. She got alot of cute things, mostly cute little girl outfits.

She is due August 8th but may have her a little sooner by what the doc tells her. We are all so excited to have this new baby into our lives. I was able to catch a few pictures of the shower.

The cake was made by our Aunt Liz, she is a cake decorator and from what I hear is getting some business decorating cakes.

On Saturday we went to see our new addition to the Green family, Dustin (Jeff's brother) and Rachal had their first baby on May 12th. His name is Camden Merlin Green. He is such a cute and sweet little boy, he has a lot of hair and there's a tint of red to it. Babies are so fun and bring such joy to families. We got to visit with Jeff's family, had a BBQ and just spent time and laughed together. Maybe the baby will rub off on me!!!

I was reading K'Brina's blog where she tagged everyone to post your 6th photo in your 6th file. So I look and of course it's a fishing pic just like K'Brina's, because our husband's live to fish. The only thing is is that Ryan's fish is like 10 times bigger than Jeff's! He hasn't learned how to catch the BIG Lake trout yet, I know that he would love to catch a fish that big. But it's almost silly the size between the two. Oh well! We'll catch one, one of these days.

Anyways, the picture is of Jeff taken on Fish Lake. This was the first fish we caught in 2 days, it was our first time on a boat on Fish Lake. So this is his prize! He still looks good even though his fish is a lil one!

Spring is in the air....

I love Spring time, the flowers are blooming, the grass is turning green, I can hear the birds singing when I wake in the morning. Spring Fever, I love it!!! It's fun just driving home in my car, cranking the tunes with the windows down.
This week has been Spring break at Salt Lake Community College and I have loved every minute of it! No school, or studying for a whole week. I know I just got started but it's a headache already, I just need to stay focused and finish it.
Grandma and Grandpa are almost home and I'm so excited to see them, even though we live far apart I love to see them when possible. K'Brina your so lucky to be close to them, I hope you cherish every minute.
I can't wait to go camping and to fish when it's WARM!!!! :) That ice fishing is for the penguins!!!
I just want to tell my WHOLE family I love them and I'm so excited for all the new babies coming into our lives.

Istarted school again this spring semester. I kinda panicked at first because I felt out of my element, which doesn't happen very often. It's been 11 almost 12 years since I was in school and that was college, pretty much a waste of time. Well anyways, my job offers tuition reimbursement and after my boss suggesting the Health Information program, taking time to look into the program its self. I decided to take advantage of a good opportunity. The bad thing is my credits won't transfer so I have to start over, which is OK because alot has changed in 11 years. So slowly I will earn my Master's in Health Information Technology. OK, so after all of that I was trying to explain what has been devouring all my free time. It's called studying!

Then in the other free minutes of time I have I started some baby blankets, for all those babies coming into our lives. How exciting!!!

Valentine's Day

This is from our Valentine's Day trip icefishing at Strawberry Res. I figured since Jeff is ice fishing every Saturday and Valentine's Day was on a Saturday, I'd better go with him if I'm going to be With him on Valentine's. According to the weather man there was supposed to be alot of snow fall that day. We woke up at 6am and it had barely started snowing in the city. I asked Jeff if we were still going and of course we were. He bought himself his own Valentine's gift which was a fish finder. So he HAD to go try it snow or no snow. Jeez, I don't know about these guys. So off we went up Parley's, UGH! The roads weren't the best. Once we got up to Strawberry everything was SO white that it blinded us. There was so much snow up there we really couldn't see the roads or ANYTHING. We followed the snowmobile markers and made it to the lake. It was really weird how the snow can mess with your eyes like that. Here are some pictures of the trip. It was a blizzard all day, thank goodness for the heater and ice tent. There were tons of fish but they weren't biting, Jeff caught that one small cutthroat. We had a lot of bites but we couldn't hook them. We haven't had good luck ice fishing this winter, not many fish biting. After our trip Jeff took me to Daniel's Summit Lodge for lunch. Their food is SO good. He also gave me a real pretty ring for Valentine's Day.

This is what Jeff sees every morning on one of the welding jobs. There's a pretty good herd right there at the job. He gets pretty close to them, they must be used to people living where they are. National Welding is working the Lehi job, right off the freeway in the fields there. That's one of the qwerks working thes Utah jobs, almost every day they see elk or deer.

OK so I'm almost another month behind. UGH!! Life is so busy sometimes. My parents were staying here a few days this last week because my dad is finally feeling better and is really bored at their little apartment. Beside they didn't want to pay the pricey rent. I just want to say that since my dad's liver transplant I think they transplanted a new person into him also. I can't believe the difference in him. It's such a good thing, I'm not saying he was ever a bad person but the change is such a miracle. I think donated organs will always carry something from the donor to the recipient. I wonder what the donor was like, I bet he was a great person and full of life. I hope we will get the chance to meet his family some day. My dad feels so much better already and it's only been 2 months. I'm so glad that from such a scary ordeal came a positive outcome to our whole family. My parents went home to Minersville on Thursday and I thought it was so funny that my dad said he couldn't sleep the night before because he was so excited to go home!!!! He also told me he thought he'd never go home again. How touching it has been to go through this even though it's been a roller coaster ride. I hope he will continue to heal and be even more full of life then none of us will be able to keep up with him!

OK so I haven't blogged for almost a month, that's terrible but sometimes it gets old and life gets so busy. Since my dad's transplant and added family in our home lately, besides the holidays and Christmas parties I just haven't had the time to blog. Not much is new lately, my dad is finally back out of the hospital this week and doing OK. Sadie had her second and last litter of puppies on the 1st, 1 boy and 1 girl. They are Sooooooooooo cute, I wish we could literally have more dogs but then again I DON'T. It's too cold outside I guess winter has finally made it, YUCK!!! I can't believe it's almost Christmas and another year has come and gone, how the time flys. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Jeff and I get to host Thanksgiving dinner this year. Since my dad can't leave the Salt Lake Valley we decided to have everyone come up here. We have the room, plus it's always fun to have family come to our house. My mom will be here to help me out and Ashlie will be here Wednesday night. I'm so exited, i love Thanksgiving and being together enjoying a yummy dinner. I think our family has alot to be thankful for this year.

On Thursday night we got tickets to the U of U/TCU football game. The stadium was packed out and they said it was the 2nd largest game in school history. It was alot of fun to go on a date, it wasn't that cold either we were surprised. It took 1 hour just to get from the stadium to the freeway......alot of people!!!!!! It's always fun to experience a football game especially since the college is undefeated, I hope they go all the way.

New found hobby

So after seeing all these cute bumble bee watches I decided to try to make them myself. They looked like something I could figure out. So I started making the beaded bracelets and beaded watches. I was rusty at first but soon found my technique. I went shopping for beads and other supplies and soon found out that I'm addicted to buying new and cute items. I have bought a lot of beads so far and order after order of watch faces. So here above is some of my finished products. I was bombarded at work with orders, selling about 6 watches and 5 bracelet's right off the bat. Now the orders have trickled off. I want to let you all know they make great gifts, the ladies and little girls just love them. Also the bands can be taken off, so you can change them according to what your wearing. Order your Xmas gifts early or just get some for yourselves. I am currently taking orders so please leave me a comment if your interested. All I need is the approximate size of small, medium or large and the colors of beading. I forgot to say they are $25.00-28.00 and to have just an extra band made it's $13.00.

Empty handed...

So we come home empty handed! After our 4 day camp trip to strawberry, which doesn't seem like 4 days. It went by so fast. Anyways, we saw probably a total of 25 head of deer in 4 days. How pathetic is that? When they said the deer hunt this year was not going to be a good one they were right. We saw 4 cow moose, 6 elk including 3 BIG BULLS, 1 buck deer and the rest were does and fawns. After finding our way around the vast mountains around strawberry, we could see how easily there were so many moose and elk. But the deer must have got lost after the last winter we had. According to DWR we spoke to up there the winter kill last year was very high. OBVIOUSLY!!!! We were very disappointed, it was my first hunt and I had one opportunity at a 4 point buck Sunday night. It was too dark and I couldn't see through the scope. Jeff was disappointed in me I think, he thought I could have shot it. Nope I can't see as it is. So after we got home Monday Jeff leaves Tuesday morning to go hunt down in Beaver. Ha! What do you know he shot one for my dad first thing Weds morning. Not fair I tell ya! Jeff she have been born with the mountain men era because I honestly can't tell the difference some times!

Going deer hunting

This weekend we decided to go scout the Strawberry Res Flat for next weeks deer hunt. Everyone that knew we were going said how crazy we were because it's going to snow 1-2 feet. Well, knowing Jeff and I and how if we want to do something we Just Do It!!! We got the trailer ready to go and packed a million blankets to stay warm. Went shopping for food and supplies, $250.00 dollars later, we packed it all up in the tuck and trailer and headed out Friday evening. Jeff was pretty nervous, because we haven't ever camped up Strawberry before plus it was dark so we didn't know exactly where we were going. Our luck found a great camp spot in the trees and started to unload. Let me tel you, IT WAS COLD!! No snow yet, but the wind made up for that. We had alot of fun camping and scouting for deer. We only saw a few deer and a cow moose. Not a good sign. We did get snowed on but there wasn't enough to account for.

This is a pretty neat pic, he doesn't get many good ones because it's difficult to stop people to take the pictures for them. He's headed to NYC on Saturday to work on the big 3 year project up by Manhatten. Anyone wanna take a trip to NYC next spring????

Strawberry Res..

We went to Strawberry Res today so Jeff could get in his work hours for the dedicated hunter tag. He was checking all the boats for mussells that were going into the lake. I guess if you had a boat that was either in Lake Powell or Lake Mead the boat had to be power washed before launching. They don't want the mussells transferred to other waters. Anyways, I went with Jeff so I could fish. I think we were there 2 hours and I caught a big cutthroat. It was 22" long and really fat. I was so excited, Jeff was at the boat ramp checking boats and I was at the shore fighting with this big fish. To me it's big, it doesn't compare to what Ryan catches. Then Jeff had his crawdad cage in the water and caught about 90 craw dad's. He loves to cook and eat them, I'm glad he does cause I don't. We had a really fun day.

My nephews thought they had to be just like grandpa Curtis and dress up in camo. When they found out he was going hunting they thought they needed to come along. They have been quit the handful for my mom today. I'm not sure if they will help out much hunting elk!!

I don't think you could get any more serious or silly than these 3 or should I say 3 peas in a pod!
They are just like their grandpa Curtis and they love to hang out with him.

My dad was choosen to be the alternate for the big bull archery tag, the once in a life time tag. So he had to get a cross bow to hunt with. It was quit exciting for him at this point in time.

Bee's Baseball Game

Jeff and I got baseball tickets to the Bee's game last night. Valley Mental Health my work, was sponsoring the game so the tickets were discounted. The Bee's were playing the Colorado Sky Sox. The game started off a little slow but picked up by the end of the game. We were on the 7th row up right by 3rd base. Talk about scarey, the foul balls were being hit right above our heads. All night we had to keep a close eye on the ball so that we wouldn't get hit. There aren't any nets to block the balls, so the crowd is the net. There are horror stories of people getting hit in the face and having to go to the hospital. Anywasy, it was a really fun night. I'm glad we went on our date night and we did something we haven't done before. I think we will go again if we ever get the chance.

My Dad

My dad Curtis Johnson was diagnosed ith a rare liver disease, Primary Sclerosing cholangitis in March of 2008. He is now in end stage liver failure and his only hope of living a normal life is to have a liver transplant.

Although he has medical insurance there are many expenses not covered as in travel expenses, medicines, the huge co-pays and temporary relocation. To help with these medical expenses a fundraising campaign has been set up through National Assistance Transplant Fund (NTAF). NTAF is a non-profit organization that has been helping people for over 25 years. Donations can be made at your nearest Wells Fargo or Zions Banks in the name of Curtis Johnson. Or if you prefer to make a donation to the NTAF foundation please email me for an address.

My mom's Bday

We all went up to Beaver mountain on the 27th to celebrate my mom's 50th birthday, all of us includes all my moms kids and grandpa and grandma. It turned out to be a really fun day. It threatened to rain on us all day but never did, which we were very lucky. I guess it rained and washed out all the streets in Beaver while we were up on the mountain. We are so lucky we didn't get wet!! Anyways, Jeff and I, Justin and Becky and all the kids fished throughout the day. Jeff finally got lucky and caught a few good sized brook trout. Then at the end of the night Colby caught the biggest one of the day, it probably was close to 18 inches. Cute little boy, he was so excited about it then Jeff threw it back in the lake. Later I found out that he wanted to keep it. Dang it! For dinner we made dutch oven potatoes, chicken and peach cobbler. It tasted so good and I'm really glad we all was able to get together and have a fun outing on the mountains.

Been a while

It's been a while since I posted anything. Like K'Brina says, sometimes your just not in the blogging mood. Lately we have been really busy with yard work, going to Fish Lake and just working. We finished the wood fence in front of the house 2 weeks ago. We thought it was dog proof, but our little smarty pants dogs figured out how to get out while we were away to fish lake. Some lady picked up Abby out in the street and kept her a while before she figured out where she lived. Then Cajun likes to jump on the fence, so he figured out that if he jumps high enough he can get the latch on the gate to open. So he let them all out once again, the neighbor girl was watching them. She was in tears by the end of the weekend, thinking our damn dogs were gone forever. Guess we couldn't get so lucky.....just kidding. We love them, most of the time!

I was finally hired at Valley Mental Health in the medical record dept, I started working this week. It's alot of fun so far, the co-workers are way nice and helpful. It's a pretty lax work environment which is good. The only thing is I got sick this week with bronchitis, so I had to be out one day. I really hate it when that happens but sometimes I can't prevent it from happening. So I'm still trying to recover this week, I think all I have done is sleep. But rest is the key to getting better. Jeff went to Durango this week to finish up the job out there and then he'll be home tomorrow. It's a good thing he wasn't home this week because he would have starved to death!!!

Fishing

We went fishing up East Canyon and Jordanelle over the weekend. It was so hot even up in the mountains. We didn't have much luck at Jordanelle, there was way too many boats and people to do anything. We had more luck at East Canyon, Jeff and I have never been up there so we decided to try it. The mountains are so pretty and green, it was a beautiful drive. I didn't realize how many bodies of water are around SLC, it's fun to be able to go to the mountains that are close to home. We really don't have to go to Beaver to have fun in the outdoors. Jeff caught about 4 fish and I didn't catch any. I don't do as well when I use power bait believe it or not, I'd rather use a fly and spinner. It works a lot better for me, I can catch fish! I just wish my family liked to fish as much as we do, it's a lot of fun.

I really miss Jeff!!! The trip turned out to be longer than planned, I should be used to this by now. But for some reason I always think just like he tells me it's ONLY for ONE week. Haaaa...so I told him the other day on the phone that I'm just going to plan on him being gone 2-3 weeks then maybe it will actually be just ONE!! But i guess I'll live through this, it can't be as bad as us living apart like we were when we got married. That was the biggest mistake I made so far. I should have just moved to Roosevelt with him for the time being....oh well can't change it now. I'll just write that down as one more thing i had to learn the hard way. Anyways, this posting isn't a whining session I promise. I just want my husband to know I love him and miss him very much and I can't wait to see his face! Once again I have to thank our moms for praying so hard that we would find each other and for the lord actually bringing us together.

Lonely Night

Once again I get to spend many nights without my husband by my side. I get to baby sit all these damn baby dogs while he gets to sweat it out in New Orleans. The temp there is about 90 degrees with 90% humidity. YUCK!! He's hating it!! The job there is almost done so he won't be away more than a week. At least with the weather like that he's working extra hard to come home ;) I get a lot more done when he's not here, I guess that's the only good thing about it. I've started to eat healthier and I'm going to the gym. YAY!! It's easier to do when all I have to worry about it taking care of myself. I love to go to the gym!! I don't know why I stopped going. I feel sooo much better even though I just started. I can't let myself get so out of shape and looking so terrible. I feel yucky and look it too, I hate to be fat! I have many things working against me but I'll overcome them all. I know it's worth it, I just have to stay positive and motivated. Hopefully when Jeff gets back I can talk him into going with me. My fingers are crossed!

Tribute to my DAD

I just want to post a tribute to my father. He's been very ill and we all just found out he has liver failure. There's not much the doctor's can do but put him on medicine and place his name on the liver donor list. We don't know how long the wait will be for a liver and by the day he's getting sicker. I don't think he's worked at all this week, he doesn't have the strength to hook up his truck and trailer. What an ordeal him and my mom have gone through with all his health problems, it's been one thing after another. We all need to pray and have them in our thoughts. If he does get a liver his life will change and there's 80% chance he'll have a healthy life afterwards, so we just hope theirs a liver out there for him.

I plan to put together some kind of fundraiser for him and my mom soon but I'm waiting to see what the outcome is after he meets with the transplant team at the U of U hospital.

Here's a picture of my parents with the grand kids...how cute it is. Colby and my dad have a special bond and I think Colby has that intuition about my dad being sick. Lately he's wanting to go be with my dad and lay by him in his recliner. Something about these little kids, they know what's going on.

I finally went back to work today. All of a sudden there's a schedule for me, all I can say is it's about time. I just hope they plan on keeping me busy everyday. Today I went to St. Mark's Hospital to audit their medical charts. That's my job, I audit charts for insurance companies. I love it too. It's a big change from what I've always done, it's fun for me. I get to transcribe the doctor's notes, which can be a huge challenge. I pretty much stare at a computer screen and read charts the whole day. Besides the fact of being able to drive all over the valley in this lovely traffic!! It's just great to go back to WORK!
I have to say how much I enjoy the rain, I love the smell and the occasional rainbows. Although it's cooled off a lot outside, it's not too cold to be out. I don't have much more to say right now but there will be more later.

It's finally feeling like summer

Today got really warm all of a sudden, I know that's what the forecast said but in Utah you never know what we'll get. The feeling of spring/summer makes me want to go tanning outside, take our dogs for a walk and just be outside. I'm happy it decided to get warm, I hate the snow and cold!! Anyways, I've been sooooo bored lately that's why my blog has been kinda boring...sorry readers. Still no luck on my job search, I can't figure out what the deal is. I guess the right one hasn't came around yet. But it's very frustrating and boring, you can only clean and cook so much! I have applied to a lot of jobs and there's a lot to apply for, I'm being really picky so maybe that's the problem. I just hate having to be always looking for a new job, it seems like that's all I've done my whole adult life....yuck!!! I sit here at the table looking at jobs, every ones blog and listening to the daily round of the ice cream truck in the neighborhood. I wonder if the ice cream truck ever sells any ice cream???? I never see it stopped with a herd of kids all standing around it, it's something you stop and ponder about.
So if anyone has any pointers or job leads they would like to share with me please feel free.

We are finally home

We finally got home yesterday, I never thought the day would come. Yes, Durango is beautiful and fun but it's soooo nice to be in your own home and sleep in your own bed. We were in what Jeff calls the chicken coop and after spending a week in the small trailer. It really is a chicken coop, too small for 2 people. We actually were able to sleep all night and feel somewhat rested. Today all were doing is lounging around in our pajamas and enjoying our house. There's no food in the house, we made sure of that before we left so none would go to waste. Neither one of us want to go to the grocery store. I guess we are worn out and just want to be lazy. But I sit here and think of all the things that need to be done now, all the dirty laundry, the grass that's now a jungle needs to be mowed, put away all our stuff from the trip. All I can say is ....UGH!!!!!

Sadie had her puppies May 2nd, there are 2 boys and 2 girls. We pulled an all nighter to get them all here. What an event, she didn't know what to do or how to clean them off. It was good we were close to her so I could help her. Their colors are beautiful and rare. There's 2 chocolate brindal's, a cream dapple and a chocolate dapple. Oh sooooo cute...you all need to visually see them. They are all doing well, sadie is a very protective mother which is good. If anyone is interested in buying one or you know someone, let me know.

On Sunday we are going to Durango Co for a week maybe two, were not sure yet. Jeff's company is welding on the water line from the dam. The job was started last year and closed for the winter and is now starting to break ground again. So Jeff is the lucky one to start the job and I get to go with. So we are taking advantage of the time and making it a vacation getaway. We'll travel to Silverton and ride the train and make some tourist stops. I need to figure out what I'm going to do while Jeff is at work. We are going to stay in the camp trailer, which will be a fun adventure. Also, Sadie is due to have her puppies any day now. We were hoping she would have them before we leave home so it's a little easier on us all. If not i guess she'll have them on the go in the trailer. I'll let you know when it happens and take pictures.

Brandon's Graduation

On Friday we all went to Brandon's POST graduation, which he will be graduating from police academy. He is now officially a Beaver County Sheriff. It was pretty neat to experience the graduation with all the police major's, police chief's ect ect ...of Salt Lake and Utah. They had a few speakers and made everyone kind of realize the life of a cop. Brandon is really pumped up and ready to get started, he was given a brand new chevy sheriff's truck. I guess the PT the guys have to go through to be a cop is pretty extensive. It's a real accomplishment to go through training and the class, so to Brandon CONGRATS once again!!!That night Jeff and I had a BBQ celebration with Brandon and Ashlie, so we were able to get a few pics. It was a really fun weekend with them, they stayed over night with us and we were able to hang out and have a lot of fun.

Job or job less.....

So I've been searching for another job this last month since my last one didn't have a schedule for me until later this month. I really like this job and it's pretty easy for me. It also pays pretty good, I just wish they were more dependable with hours. I can't believe how many jobs there are available in Utah. I have searched and searched and still haven't been contacted by many prospects. I can say I have been picky in my search for a new job. I want something I will really like, make good money and want to stay there for a while. But, there's just not many that fit what I really like. I need more education and I have known this for many years. It just costs so much money to get a higher education. Right now we almost have all our bills paid off. So maybe I can start a class next summer, I hope!
I keep wandering around the house finding things to clean, paint, or change. I have worked really hard making this house look good. So I guess that's one good thing about being home the last month.

IT'S FULLY LOADED AND WAY TOO NICE FOR GREASY WELDERS TO DRIVE. THE CHEVY'S ARE A LOT BETTER TRUCK FOR WHAT WE DO. OUR JOBS IN ATLANTA, CHARLOTTE, NEW ORLEANS AND KANSAS CITY ARE DOING WELL. Little Vacation

So we went to Mesquite for 5 days and stayed at my in-laws home. We wanted to get away and be warm at the same time and we accomplished that. It was 80 degrees in Mesquite, it felt really good to have warm weather for a change. We were able to help Rose and Rod paint the outside of their house, which sounds like alot of work but it wasn't that bad. They had a paint sprayer which saved half the time. We were able to go gamble our money away a few nights and have Eureka buffet. Then on Tuesday we rode 4wheelers to Lake Meade, it's so pretty out there. Once again I see how easy it is to get lost in that desert with sooooo many trails, it's crazy. We saw a wild burro standing right in the road. Like I say just standing there, he wasn't scared of us at all. Just stood there and looked at us. It was pretty neat to see and I forgot the camera at home once again. So now we are home back to the cold and snowy Utah! Yuck, when will the summer come??

Birthday...30!!

So I just turned 30! Going over the 30 hump was kinda difficult for me to swallow. My feelings are, your in your 20's and your still young then you hit 30 and that means your getting OLD! What's next? 40's, 50's and so on. Ugh!!! I can say though I don't feel 30 and it's still weird to say "I'm 30"! SCAREY....more like. Anyways, I'm over it. We just deal with it and move on, right. I just don't want teenagers in the house when I'm 50!!!!! So we better get busy! All in all it was a great birthday. My mom came up and took me to lunch then bought some decor for the house. That was really nice. Then my love Jeff, bought me some yummy victoria secret perfume and lotions. MMMMMM ...I just love to smell good. Then we went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. It was all in all a great birthday, I have never had sooo many birthday wishes before. Thanks everyone!

Change again

OK, I changed our look again. I guess that's what happends when your bored. Jeff is working in Texas this go around and my work is very slow. That means I find what needs to be done around the house. Which goes along with staining kitchen cabinets and the banister. It took about 6 hours to do both between 2 days. It gave me something productive to do. I have many more to do's on my list, but not all at once. The next project is to paint the master bath. So I guess you could say I will be busy for a while. It makes ya feel good when your effort makes the house look nicer. My mom is coming up today to keep me company since it gets lonely without Jeff arouond. I'll tell ya what he is entertainment for the soul. I miss him!

Ok, I can't ever have the same thing for very long. I like change, so I put a new look on our blog. It's a chinese symbol that means LOVE. It's also fun to create your own blog.
Tonight I'm just relaxing with the dogs. Jeff is out of town again, this time he went to the east coast. Anyways, I thought I would take a trip to Phoenix to visit a friend and it ended up being a disaster so I came home early. Also learned something new.....times and people change and sometimes the people who you trust will let you down. At least the weather was nice there, 80's and the smell of citrus was in the air. I think that's what I miss the most about AZ.

We will be getting little weiner dogs at the end of April if everything goes well, if anyone is interested in a puppy let us know! Goodbye for know.

We wake up today with ALOT of snow and its still snowing. Jeff was going to the airport to fly out to Kansas City for work. How stressful could that be. He ended up driving himself to the airport because our car is terrible in the snow. We just moved into our new house so he has to make money some how.
Well anyways, he made it to Kansas and has to sleep on a hard motel bed. That's not fun. We'll both be glad when he gets home. The dogs miss him alot too. They run around looking out the windows and going to the door to see if he's made it home yet. (Sounds like me)! Most likely i'll end up sleeping with one of them or probably all 3!! Big babies!!! So long for now.

Ok, I tried to make our blogg creative and cute!! It's kinda fun making this. Anyways, we just moved into our first house. We love it!!! It's so fun coming home to something that's ours. The dogs love it too. They have lots of room to run around, it's funny to watch them. My parents are the first ones to come and stay with us. It's exciting to have guests stay. It will take a little more time to fix it just the way we want. A little more decorating and straightening up will do. So we are open to have family and friends come visit us, if you can handle the bratty dogs!
Jeff has to travel lately. He went to Durango Co last week and next week he'll go to Kansas City, Ka. I'll be glad when he's home again for a while. I'm liking my new job auditing medical records its new and fun. We so long for now.

The beginning!

OK here goes! First time blogger's, have to thank Becky for that because she started one for her family (that was so cute by the way), so I thought it would be fun.
Jeff and I just married in MARCH. Boy it's been a long haul already. He was working on a water line in Roosevelt, so that meant he was living in his Toyhauler there then come home on the weekends. UGH!!! I thought that would never end. He just finished the whole job earlier this month. Boy was he proud to be able to start and finish the whole project. Let me tell you how difficult that was to have been married a week then him leave to live in Roosevelt. But we made it and I believe it made us stronger. Im soooo thankful for what a wonderful husband I have. Thank You Rose Green!!!
